Twister ist ein gängiger Begriff für außergewöhnliche Naturereignisse wie Wirbelstürme und Tornados. Auf die politische Agenda der Gegenwart übertragen, bezeichnet es Konflikte und Spannungen zwischen Mächten, welche abrupt außer Kontrolle geraten und katastrophale Schäden in der Bevölkerung anrichten können. Das Projekt
Twister, das eine Ausstellung und ein Veranstaltungsprogramm umfasst, untersucht die Folgen der zerstörerischen Politik nationalistischer und autoritärer Regime im letzten Jahrzehnt und die daraus resultierenden Wellen von Vertreibung und Migration.
Zudem untersucht das Projekt, wie diasporische Gemeinschaften aus verschiedenen Ländern interagieren und zusammenarbeiten können.

Twister is a common term for extraordinary natural events such as hurricanes and tornadoes. Applied to the political agenda of the present, it denotes conflicts and tensions between powers that abruptly spiral out of control and can cause catastrophic damage to the population.
The
Twister project, which includes an exhibition and program of events, explores the consequences of the destructive policies of nationalist and authoritarian regimes over the past decade and the resulting waves of displacement and migration. Additionally, the project looks at how diasporic communities from different countries can interact and cooperate.
